BREAKING: FG Opens Application For iDICE Programme To Train 300,000 Nigerians And Create 240,000 Jobs
The Federal Government has opened applications for a major youth empowerment programme aimed at tackling unemployment in Nigeria.
The initiative, known as the *iDICE Skills-to-Jobs Programme*, is targeting 300,000 young Nigerians between the ages of 15 and 35 across all 36 states and the FCT.
According to http://Legit.ng and other reports, the programme is being implemented under the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme, a $617.7 million initiative co-financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB), Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and the Bank of Industry (BOI) as the executing agency.
*What the programme offers:*
The government says the programme is not just about training and giving certificates, but about linking beneficiaries directly to jobs. It has a target of 80% employment linkage, meaning at least 240,000 beneficiaries are expected to secure job opportunities after training.
Training will be delivered in three tracks - Basic, Intermediate and Advanced - combining online and physical sessions to reach both urban and rural areas. Six implementing partners were selected through a competitive process, one for each geopolitical zone, to deliver the training.
*Who can apply:*
Vice President Kashim Shettima, speaking on the programme, said it aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. The programme has inclusion targets: at least 40% female participants, 5% persons living with disabilities, and 5% youths not in employment, education or training (NEET).
*How to apply:*
Eligible Nigerians can apply through the official portal:

Applicants are expected to select their geopolitical zone according to their state of residence before starting the application. The application and training are completely free.
Interested applicants are advised to apply early through the official website and avoid paying anyone for the form.
